Do You Know What This Is?

I bought this from a friend thinking that it was an antique vase. I had a picture in my mind sitting on a piece of furniture, enhancing the beauty of where I live. After all, look at it looked like it was made of real gold or silver. What a deal this was. It reaffirmed my big ego about being a savvy shopper. Tai Chi for Seniors

I signed up for Google Reader about exercise, yoga, and tai chi. I found several of the yoga instructors had a live show everyday doing yoga. I did not find one similar for tai chi. HDLighthouse.org indicated that tai chi would help a person with Huntington's Disease. I had no way to tell just what was there about tai chi that was so helpful? I did research on the ezinearticles.com and found an article and tape you could purchase. I bought one called "Tai Chi for Seniors" and found the purchase to be one huge gift from God. Often, I am lead by the Spirit of God. That tape had tai chi exercises, accupressure techniques, and massage tips. They said our hands have a lot of healing ability, but most people are unaware of this, and do not have a chance to practice it and heal themselves. Thumping the center of chest, stimulated the talmus, or the anti-aging gland. There was a lot of head work, like massaging the face, ears, tapping the cranial bones to make themselves smarter. The relaxed, arm swings holding an invisible ball of energy between their hands. They said to do it every day and each day I grow healthier, smarter, and younger. There were certain techniques that prevented certain diseases, like high blood pressure. I have that tape now, so I can continue to do it every day. I have tai chi on my web-site, but it helped with the explanation of words to further explain it.

Would You Like To Heal Yourself With Music Or Sound?

Dr. Andrew Weil and Kimba Arem in "Self-Healing With Sounds and Music" explained how there are energy centers in the body should be in balance. If the energy gets off balance, it causes disturbances of our health and illness in the body. We need to be sensitive to the sounds we are letting into our day and judge whether they are doing us good or causing agitation and imbalances.

Indian and Chinese Medicine uses energy centers, chakras, in the body that could get out of balance and cause illnesses and disturbances. We have the medium of music that is free and an inexpensive way to effective way to transform your mood or restore us psychologically.

The Gregorian chanting and playing the gong are very powerful ways that heal our bodies through vibrations. I love the meditation, relaxation part of my Kundalini yoga class when the teacher plays the gong.

Our whole world is vibrations, like alpha, beta, delta, theta waves. Sound affects our minds and bodies very much. Take note that our bodies are made up of 70% water.

Prayer is word that words that vibrate and heal our balance or bring enlightenment to the brain. If we play relaxation music, it will soothe us. If we play loud, blaring music, it will agitate us and maybe cause us anxiety.

So how do you think this healing is taken place through sounds? All matter vibrates, like visible light and invisible cosmic rays. I am suggesting that we get healed through vibrations.

God created the Universe with it's own healing mechanism. In India, people chant OM for their healing and connection with the universe. The Western World doctors do not recognize the energy that the Eastern style of medicine admits and lives by.

Sounds do have a very strong affect on us, calming agitating us. We must be sure we subject ourselves to sounds that heal us, if possible. You should pay close attention to sounds you are hearing a they affect the subconscious as well.

Relaxation Music

Music is charged with emotion. Not only was the music itself written with great passion and probably played in the same manner but it also invokes a great many emotional responses. Music can help us remember people, places or emotions. Some of these memories may be good and some may be bad. Music can even stir up memories that we had otherwise forgotten about. This emotional response is a very strong one and by using it to good effect we can change the way we feel about certain situations. Relaxation music is readily available and comes in many different forms. Hypnosis tapes (or CDs or MP3) are also available that can help meditation.
1- Listening to relaxing music can aid relaxation greatly. Find a darkened room and light some small candles or burn some incense oil if you find this relaxing. Make sure your relaxation music is turned to a volume that drowns out any background noise but is not so loud that it becomes obtrusive or uncomfortable.
2- Even at work or at home with your family you can effectively listen to relaxation music. If you have an MP3 player or personal stereo you can even listen to it on the bus or when you're out shopping. Put on your headphones and, again, make sure that the volume is at the right level. If you have the volume too low you will be able to hear the kids screaming and cars passing by but if you have it too loud it will become uncomfortable.
3- Use any opportunity you can to relax using relaxation music. If you regularly workout then put your headphones on while you're at the gym or out jogging. Listen to it while you are driving to and from work, try to forget about the day that is about to face you or the day you have just had but be careful not to be too relaxed while driving.
4- You don't have to listen to music that is designed specifically as relaxation music. If you like calm classical music then this is fine to use. Obviously heavy rock is unlikely to calm you down but conversely the relaxation music you use should be composed in a way that makes it easy to listen to and moderately upbeat. It shouldn't just be background music; it should also catch your attention and the focus of your mind.
5- Relaxation is not something that comes naturally to many of us. Stresses of modern life mean that we regularly finish work and go home to worry about it for the rest of the day. This causes a lack of sleep and other problems. These are unlikely to be undone by listening to five minutes of relaxation music every three months. Relaxation music works best when listened to for a minimum of 30 minutes but if you do listen regularly then five minutes during your break at work will still have a calming effect.

Music has a very calming activity,and it heals the person by vibrations in the subconscious. I love the soothing affects that relaxation music has on me. Other kinds of noise, like rock music, is disruptive ans prevents healing. To use music to heal your body, play classical music, moving water sounds, harmonic, acoustical music.

Pets help you have better health in the following ways. Pets reduce stress and control high blood pressure. Pets motivate owners to owners to be more active and spend more time outside. Pet owners visit the doctor less, since they have a stronger heart muscle, improving circulation. Pet owners have a greater well-being and feel less depression. Pets allow the disabled, blind person to live independently. Pets allow the elderly to be more independent and the handicapped to overcome.

Alkaline Diet and Drinks Can Reverse Some

I was interested to read an article that explained the full health benefit of an alkaline acidic balance by eating a green drink. Our nutrients are laking in a lot of our foods and if we concoct a green drink, we supplement our lacking foods. We also tend to eat an over abundance of acidic foods, causing a large imbalance toward bad health. Green drinks contain the ingredients that make it an alkaline drink. Wheat grass in the drink makes it alkaline. Eating fresh squeezed lemon and water is good to drink to hydrate and alkalize the body. Citric fruits, seem to be acidic, but in fact they are alkaline because of the way they digest in the body. It is an excellent food to hydrate and alkaline the body as well.
A book written by Dr. Robert Young explains about the PH Miracle explains which foods are digesting acidic and which foods digest alkaline. He talked about the acidic state being the state of disease. We can alter the bad health in our bodies by eating foods that digest in a certain way, creating the alkaline state.

WEIGHT LOSS THRU YOGA

I was very interested to read an article about weight loss through yoga. Yoga has been long touted as a relaxation technique that tunes the body, mind, and spirit, leaving them working in harmony. Yoga teachers now say that yoga also leads to weight loss also that is lasting. Yoga techniques like deep breathing helps relieve stress. As you are more relaxed, you eliminate the binge eating caused by emotional eating. Yoga strengthens every muscle of your body and stimulates hormones that increase your metabolism. As you become more nimble, you add more steps to your yoga session and more exercise burns of more calories. I love the invigorating feeling in my body after my yoga work out.

Health Benefits of AromaTherapy Candle


Relaxation is created by candles. They have a wonderful way of brightening the room. The different scents evoke a different set of feelings.Aroma therapy has been researched for many years and is a valid method of therapy that uses scented materials to treat or cures ailments. Aroma therapy helps the patient relax, relieve stress, and improve one's overall quality of life. I like my candle's scent to tie into the holiday also. Since Halloween is coming soon, let's try to smell cider and cinnamon as a spice. If I am trying to improve my health by scents, it is harmful to my health to eat or give out to children sugary candies. I am going to eat almonds, pine nuts, or MacIntosh apples for my treats this year. I have been researching alkaline foods and all three foods are alkalizing. Decide a healthy food that you can treat yourself, your family and the Trick or Treaters with.Be prepared ahead so the holiday does not slip up on you and you succumb to eating foods that cause tooth decay and harm our health.

This is me, writing this blog. I didn't even know what a blog was 2 years ago. I know what a log is.. But a blog? My friend, who is a cook, said he cooked them and says he cooks them in the kitchen. How come I have never seen one on the menu? I wonder what they taste like? If I went to a French restaurant, would they have French blogs? I asked my dog about a blog and she barked "Ask the cat in the hat" I asked "The Cat in the Hat". He said blogs are not for dogs.

SCREAMING !!!! I am losing my mind. I guess I am done with blog.

More time to relax !!!

A person relaxes by listening to melodic music, moving water sounds, looking at candles that are lit, sitting in a hot tub of water, like a jacuzzi. doing yoga stretching, deep breathing,and deep muscle relaxation, tai chi is very energizing, by the moves as well as deep breathing, riding a sail boat, standing on the edge a body of water, like the ocean, streams, or lakes.

There is something special about going to the oceanside beach. I always love it. It never grows old. I have gone to the beach for years and I always enjoy it.. It seems that way for everybody that I know. Mother nature sure has a way of making things beautiful to everybody.

To me the sound of the waves pounding on the beach have a very relaxing effect. I personally believe that we need to take time every day to relax and enjoy life. A key point of a quality life is to be able to relax the body. Relaxation music can also do the same thing when I can't make it to the beach, I will listen to the relaxation music. Today's article on Cnn.com is just more evidence in the growing list of scientific evidence that being fit has a major impact on brain function. Researchers uncovered just exactly what there is about doing exercise that boosts brain power and memory. Exercise boosts brainpower by building new brain cells in a brain region linked with memory and memory loss. Exercise generated blood flow to increased blood flow in the areas consisted of a three month cardio program and produced cerebral blood volume changes. Increased blood flow that was building blo od vessel wall strength is also making changes in brain by increased blood flow to the area of brain causes humans to grow new brain neurons in brain. The more fit a person got, the higher the oxygen reading, increasing memory.

Once these findings were established in mice, researchers were interested in human improvements in memory. Before and after measurements were done by MRIs that tracked blood volume showed similar cell growth in humans. Now its just a matter of doing additional research to find out what exercises and how much in needed to produce optimal results.

The Disciple's Cross
